Nicole Lev Ross

This month, we’re proud to spotlight board member Nicole Lev Ross, whose professional expertise and personal connection to CJE fuel her commitment to strengthening our community and advancing our mission. Nicole is the founder of Literal North, a strategic market intelligence consulting firm she launched seven years ago to help companies uncover new growth opportunities by understanding their most valuable asset, their customers.

Nicole’s connection to CJE is deeply personal and continues to grow. Her in-laws and godparents previously lived at Gidwitz Place, and most recently, her father, Gary Lev, moved into a beautiful, newly renovated apartment at The Friend Center. Gary has been enjoying the various group activities, and Nicole spends several hours each week with him, becoming well-acquainted with the dedicated caregivers and fellow residents. These firsthand experiences inspired Nicole to join the board to give back to the Jewish community and to help strengthen CJE’s mission of supporting older adults with dignity and respect.

Nicole shared that one of her most meaningful recent CJE experiences, was attending a Holocaust Community Services Hanukkah party. She sat with eight survivors and listened to their incredible stories. They danced and sang songs familiar around the world. “It was humbling and unforgettable,” she said.

Nicole explored CJE’s innovative Dementia Reality program for family caregivers, when she learned of her father’s dementia diagnosis, experiencing first-hand how Dementia Reality will be transformative as the need for dementia support continues to grow.

Nicole’s guiding philosophy:

“Be curious and non-judgmental. Say yes to new experiences. Curiosity is a core tenet of Judaism, and we should always be questioning and learning.”

Hope for the future?

“That CJE continues to innovate and attract younger generations for intergenerational programs. My son and niece already volunteer with Adult Day Services at Weinberg, and I’d love to see more families involved.”
Please join us in celebrating her commitment to building a vibrant, caring community for older adults!
