What is Mental Health in Aging? CJE’s Colorful Care Model has an answer
As we age, taking care of our cognitive and mental health becomes just as important as taking care of our physical health. Many older adults experience changes—some expected, some unexpected. These can include stress, feeling isolated, changes in memory, or shifts in daily routines and sense of purpose. The good news is that there are meaningful, practical ways to support wellness and mental health as we age. Today, we’d like to introduce you to our Colorful Care Model—a simple and engaging way to think about whole-person wellness. This model helps us look at different areas of life that, when supported together, can improve overall well-being and quality of life.
This is part of the Your Mental Health Toolkit video series designed to improve life balance. In each video, a CJE clinician teaches a new skill or concept to promote a positive mood, reduce anxiety, and increase self-compassion. This series is supported by the Jewish United Fund.
