Community Building Day
MONDAY, March 23, 10:30 am–12 pm
Join CJE Metro and the CALM Foundation and Rescue for a meaningful, hands‑on volunteer experience connecting older adults from the community with residents of The SelfHelp Home!
Together, we’ll assemble small, temporary shelters that help protect street cats across the city. Inspired by the Jewish value of compassion for animals (tz’ar ba’alei chayim), participants will work side by side—building connections, fostering purpose, and giving back. The CALM Foundation and Rescue will supply materials and place the finished shelters where they’re most needed. Come build, connect, and make a positive impact!
