Share the Love with CJE SeniorLife During Subaru’s 2022-2023 Share the Love Event
CHICAGO, November 17, 2022 – As part of the 2022-2023 Subaru Share the Love Event, CJE SeniorLife has been named a “Hometown Charity” partner by local retailer McGrath Evanston Subaru for the second year. From November 17, 2022 to January 3, 2023, Subaru of America is donating $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased to the customer’s choice of participating national or hometown charities. This year, customers can support CJE SeniorLife directly by purchasing or leasing a new vehicle at McGrath Evanston Subaru and selecting CJE SeniorLife as their choice hometown charity during the Share the Love Event.

During Subaru’s Share the Love Event, customers across the nation can also choose to support the following national charities: ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish®, Meals on Wheels America, and National Park Foundation. CJE encourages customers who can’t purchase or lease a vehicle from local retailer McGrath Evanston Subaru and select CJE SeniorLife as a hometown charity to make Meals on Wheels America their choice national charity during the Share the Love Event. Meals on Wheels America supports local, community-based senior nutrition programs like CJE’s Home-Delivered Meals (HDM) program to deliver nutritious meals and perform wellness checks which enable America’s seniors to live healthy lives with independence and dignity.
If Subaru customers make Meals on Wheels America their national charity selection, CJE’s HDM program will benefit through a portion of grant-based funds alongside other participating Meals on Wheels members. “Each year, support from Subaru and Meals on Wheels America is critical to maintaining this safety-net service for CJE’s most vulnerable clients,” said Leon Greenberg, Manager, Home-Delivered Meals/Kosher To Go. “Funding from Subaru’s Share the Love Event will allow CJE’s Home-Delivered Meals program to serve more local seniors in need through meal delivery and well-being checks, especially important during these challenging times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
To kick off the Share the Love Event each year, McGrath Evanston Subaru volunteers with CJE’s HDM team to deliver kosher meals to older adults in Evanston and Skokie. This year, CJE SeniorLife will also be hosting a canned food drive benefiting the Evanston Vineyard Food Pantry at McGrath Evanston Subaru during the Evanston Flying Turkey 5K packet pick-up on Tuesday, November 22 from 4-7 pm.
