Building Caregiver Resilience—Virtual Therapy Group
THURSDAYS, 10:30 – 11:30AM
An 8-week series
This group is designed to address issues impacting emotional well-being for caregivers.
Caring for a loved one can be both a rewarding and stressful experience. In caring for others, we often struggle to find time to care for ourselves. This therapeutic group will meet weekly and provide a safe space for caregivers aged 55+ to explore issues related to caregiving, better understand how prior life experiences can impact relationships in the present, enhance coping skills through mutual support, and build resilience.
Group members can expect to:
- Share experiences with others who are dealing with similar situations
- Increase insight and understanding of self and others
- Identify stressors related to caregiving
- Address caregiver burnout
- Strengthen coping skills
- Focus on self-care
- Build resilience
Led by Lisa Andrews, LCSW
