Through striking images of people and wildlife, exotic destinations, and architectural wonders, Dr. Lewis invites us to see the beauty and diversity of our shared planet—and to feel more connected, no matter the distance.

Painting With Purpose

TUESDAY, April 21, 2026 • 11am–1pm

Join us for the first of our Tikkun Olam (Repair the World) series to connect with others for a good cause. We’ll host a painting class with all supplies provided, and no experience needed. Proceeds will go to Ezra, an emergency service agency in Uptown that provides a food pantry, soup kitchen, and more. Come paint with purpose, enjoy wine and light bites, and take home your own artwork!

$20 per person upon entry. Cash, check, or card accepted.

The Loop: The “L” Tracks that Shaped and Saved Chicago

TUESDAY, May 12, 2026 • 11 am–1 pm

If you enjoy Chicago history, then join us for this fascinating book review and discussion with author and journalist Patrick T. Reardon as he discusses his book The Loop. He’ll discuss how the elevated structure gave its name to the downtown, linked together Chicago’s transportation grid, gave the city a center that served all Chicagoans and saved the downtown when those in other cities withered.
