CHICAGO, January 27, 2014 – The Affordable Care Act, Illinois’ SMART Act, Ligas, Colbert and Williams lawsuits and the Governor’s Rebalancing Initiative all intersect and impact health care and long-term supports and services for people with disabilities and seniors. These changes create the opportunity for improving quality of life and community living, but also create fears of the possibility of limited choices, and reductions in the level of and quality of services and supports.
Since 1972, CJE SeniorLife has enhanced the lives of older adults and their families through a comprehensive network that includes housing, health care, community services, health and wellness education, life enrichment programs and applied research.
