Residents with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia are cared for in a designated special care unit on Lieberman Center for Health and Rehabilitation’s fifth floor. The environment and programming are designed to engage the residents and honor and encourage their abilities. Specially designed furniture, creative activities and highly trained staff help to create a supportive environment for these residents. Lieberman Center for Health and Rehabilitation's amenities include an on-site dairy café, a beautifully-appointed main dining room, indoor atrium, a beauty/barber shop, synagogue, dental and ophthalmology services, a computer lab, and an outdoor park and sculpture garden. We encourage residents to remain as independent as possible and plan group outings for excursions into the surrounding communities. But for those who are less mobile, we also bring cultural programs into the building. An ORT Chapter and several community groups that hold meetings at Lieberman Center for Health and Rehabilitation are open to residents.
