About CJE

A Letter From Our President:

Thank you for visiting our website.  Long-time friends and family of CJE will notice that we have changed our name and logo. CJE SeniorLife (formerly Council for Jewish Elderly) is driven by the Jewish values of respect, advocacy, compassion, intention and accountability. As an innovative provider of community-based and residential programs for over 36 years, we are committed to enhancing the quality of life for older adults throughout the continuum of care. Our new name honors the agency’s  past achievements and depicts its promise to develop healthy, positive aging programs and services to benefit even more community members.

A contemporary pomegranate logo punctuates the refreshed name to reflect the vitality of our mission. Pomegranates are a significant symbol throughout Jewish art, literature and history. According to tradition, this healthy and nutritious fruit has 613 seeds representing the number of good deeds in each of us. The 18 seeds in CJE’s new logo represent chai (the Hebrew word for life) and their bright colors convey our vision to address the diverse needs of older adults and their families.

As the agency moves forward to enhance existing programming, CJE SeniorLife remains committed to its mission to assist those in the community who have always looked to CJE for needed services and support. Please join us in embracing CJE SeniorLife as your preferred provider for a wide range of older adult programs and services…from lifelong learning opportunities to residential options to home health care and caregiver support.

We wish to share with you our Mission, Values and Vision Statements. As we continue to challenge ourselves and better meet your respective needs, wants and expectations, you are encouraged to contact us and allow us to benefit from your input.

With good wishes,
Mark D. Weiner
President/CEO
